My Work: Midnight Sparkle Nails

liverpoollashes liverpool lashes best liverpool beauty blogger nail art christmas nails christmas eve jennylovesfoilsToday's post is centred around this foil that I had a small section of foil that I got in a pack of assorted foils.  I loved it so much that I photographed it to talk about on my Facebook page (If you're not following yet, please come follow!)

I mentioned an idea using Shellac Black Pool and one of the blue CND Additives faded up from the free edge and then this foil over for a wintery, almost a Christmas Eve looking design.

A few hours after I posted it I got a message from my friend Rachel saying that she wanted the nails she had seen me talking about on my page and to see if I could do them this weekend.  Since I had finished work for the day, I messaged her to come around and have them done right away.

I did do a couple of amendments to my original idea.  Over CND Brisa Lite Smoothing Gel I applied CND Shellac in Overtly Onyx, then I used CND Additive in Midnight Tide to create a fade from the free edge.  In order for the foil to stick I applied a layer of the discontinued Shellac shade, Mother Of Pearl (but you could use Clearly Pink) cured it and then applied the foil, finishing with a layer of top coat.

I adore the finished design, it's so beautiful and the added sparkle just makes them that little bit more special.  I hope you're enjoyed this post.  Click here for the link to purchase Twinkle Twinkle Nail Art Foil
