CND Starstruck Collection

It's finally time to talk about the new CND Starstruck Collection and it's ridiculously exciting!  I've read online that techs are crying out for more glitter Shellac shades so to launch an entire glitter collection is just incredible.  This collection was inspired by red carpet glamour and Hollywood.  It's set to be released on in September 2016 in the UK.

The collection consists of six all new CND Shellac shades:
  • Dark Diamonds
  • Emerald Lights
  • Alluring Amethyst
  • Blushing Topaz
  • Garnet Glamour
  • Starry Sapphire

There is also two matching Vinylux shades in Dark Diamonds and Emerald Lights.

As a collection I think they're truly fantastic, I could literally choose a colour that I know every single one of my clients would have.

As usual I've made a comparison video to show you the new shades against the existing colours - click here to watch (and choose the option of 720p for the best quality) or watch here:

Slim Down Sunday: Week 65 & 66

When I'm not doing well with my weight I hate writing these posts, I have to admit but as I always say, I will never give up.  This past fortnight has been a rollercoaster of emotions for reasons I shall not go into.  Emotions play such a big part in how many of us, including me, eat.

Week 65 (aka, last week!) was just a week of pretty much eating what I wanted.  At the start of this week was my boyfriend's son's 9th birthday so that meant party food left, right and centre.  Now of course if your willpower is amazingly strong you don't have to eat a single thing that you don't want to but the temptation is hard.

I am pleased to say that the end of the fortnight I have lost a pound in these past few days.  It's not a lot but it's a step in the right direction and that's what's most important to me.

I'm hoping to carry on heading down the scales again for a bigger loss soon.

NOTD: Lilac Blossom

I had less than an adequate time to do my nails but there was no way I was going out with bare nails, not a chance.  I did consider throwing a load of glitter of them but then I decided to work with CND Shellac in Beckoning Begonia because to me it was a colour that I fell in love with after the launch but I don't have enough opportunities to wear it.
Once that was decided I was then on a hunt for a complimenting shade of something I haven't worn before so I chose Magenta Mischief.  I have literally no idea why this colour isn't an instant favourite with clients because it's a stunner.
Finally I used a Yours Loves Sascha Gossen plate with white polish over Magenta Mischief.  These two colours are gorgeous together - I'm in love!  It's not the most exciting set I've done but it's pretty, girlie and most of all they were done super fast!

I hope you enjoyed this post!

My Work: Lilac, White & Sparkly

Yesterday I did a new set for Rachael who I've not seen in a few months as she was saving up.  I'm sure she will agree that our appointments are typically a hoot and this was no exception.  Whenever I ask her what she wants on her nails she always says red but it's rarely the colour she walks out wearing.  I showed her a couple of colour ideas as she has very similar taste to me so it's easy for me to grab a load of colour pops and glitters and this is what she chose over her enhancements.

I used CND Shellac in Wisteria Haze and Blackpool along with a Yours by Sascha Gossen plate and Lecenté Fireworks Glitter in Mortar.

Rachael has Wisteria Haze on all nails apart from her ring finger and thumb which has Black Pool on it.  I applied Mortar glitter over Black Pool which I adore and stamped a white print using the Sascha Gossen stamping plate.

Don't forget I'm on Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat - search for liverpoollashes and keep up to date by following my Facebook page.
