Slim Down Sunday 2017: Week 16

If I'm honest I really wasn't going to write this post this week.   I have spent the week with the wrong frame of mind and honestly I don't really think I've tried at all.   

 

I was going to just skip this week and just not put up a blog post but I made a promise to myself that I would still write regardless and I know that there are a few view that always look for these posts.  

 
I couldn't help myself but I really really wanted some ice cream on Thursday so I ended up going in getting this huge sundae which I throughly enjoyed.  

 
It's actually crazy but I forced myself to still away and although I thought I had put on possibly maybe two or 3 pounds I actually stayed exactly the same this week so clearly what ever I've eaten I've worked off as well! I will be back next week with another update!

Slim Down Sunday 2017: Week 15

Well here goes how I have been for the past week.  I would say that overall I was actually pretty good, I was deafly at the top end of the numbers each day but I actually felt quite hungry so I figured that if I felt hungry that that must be my body's way of telling me that I'm eating less than what I should be and therefore I thought that would mean I would be losing weight.  

 
In terms of my body I was convinced that I have lost, i'm even starting to feel the bones in my back - in my shoulders in particular.  My collarbone feels a little bit more prominent.  I must admit that it feels so much better.

 
Straight after weighing that day I do you typically have a ice cream at my favourite ice cream place.  Doing this makes me feel normal and that it's not just about weight loss all of the time and I absolutely love it!  I do think that it's really important for me to not go mad after I've had the ice cream for the rest of the day so I do you try and be good so that I can justify having it.

 
This week I lost a pound which I am pretty disappointed in.  I was convinced it was more are you even thought that I might get to 16 stone 9.  I want to see those single digits of the 16 stone mark.  It has left me a little deflated (no pun intended!) but I will try my best this week to not let it get to me too much.

  • Every day we have a choice, it's a fresh start and the most important part from any healthy eating plan is to just try and make as many days, good ones.
  • Losing a pound a week is still over three and a half stone in a year.
  • If you're feeling particularly down about your weight, remember that if you stick to a balanced diet then by this time next week you could have dropped quite a few pounds, just the kick start you need to get going!  Even just by cutting down on treats you could make a difference, how good would that feel?!

Slim Down Sunday 2017: Week 14

I finally feel a sense of control over my weight again and the feeling is incredible.  I'm sick of it controlling me, it controls how I feel about myself, my confidence, what I wear, everything and I hate it.  I hate that whether I'm really sad or reallly happy I think of food, why can't I just be like the slim people that food is fuel and that's it?  

 
When I'm "on it" I feel so much control over so many aspects of my life.  I suddenly feel a little more willing to exercise and move because I know it will actually make a difference.  

 
I'm happy to eat whatever I need to just to get by as I start to actual see what food really is, fuel, and not just something to make me feel happier.

As I always say, I run the show.  I'm doing this for me so when I want to have something outside of what I would normally allow myself I definitely do!  The key is for me to get swiftly back on it or my changes aren't go to be quick enough for me.

 
I'm so excited to tell you that this week I lost 2.5lbs bringing my weight loss in this past fortnight to 7lbs.  I already feel so different again, it feels so good to be tackling something once again that was starting to rule my life.  I have a huge Scentsy event in Edinburgh at the end of July and I'm determined to at least be back down to where I was last year.

NOTD: Summer Blue

Sometimes I know exactly what I want on my nails and I just go for it and in all this I literally have no idea where to start brainstorming what I want on them.  Unfortunately this time was the time that I literally didn't know where to start, did I want glitter? did I want colour did I want to be pale? I had no idea.  As I have just taken away the pink tones I deafly didn't one pink and I always have a hankering for red but I typically like to be straight up bread and that's not really fun to blog about!  I actually did put green on my nails and I like green but what I did with them I really really didn't like if you follow me on Snapchat your now because I showed it on there before I removed it.

 

Eventually I finally settled on blue and then I paired it  up with gold just add a little contrast.  The colours I used were CND Shellac Grand Gala (limited edition but Iced Cappucino would work) with Lecente Glitter in Sleigh Bells (again - limited edition but Sand is a good alternative) with Shellac Clearly Pink over.  I then used Shellac Digi-Teal over.

Slim Down Sunday 2017: Week 13

Well... week 13 which could be unlucky for some but for me it was finally the week I got back onto losing weight.  


I'm normally a  cereal kind of person when it comes to breakfast but ive surprised myself  by opting for yoghurt and berries this week.  I've had salads and really enjoyed them and within a day or two I was already feeling better  however I realise I have a long way to go to get back to where I was last year.  

 
Rich and I have both been so focussed and that's helped an unbelievable amount as when he falls off the weight loss wagon I feel more likely to do the same as I really want to eat whatever he's eating.  He is keen to get back to where he was as his shirts are more snug.

 
This week I'm delighted to report that I lost 4.5lbs and Rich lost 5lbs.  It's a good start and I'm keen, now that the weather is improving, to get more active too to speed things up.  Next week I hope to be back into the 16 stone bracket.
