So today's post is dual purpose. Currently I'm holiday the US travelling around New England and then over to Chicago. Today is my husband and my 5th wedding anniversary and also the anniversary to the date we met 8 years ago.
So to mark this special occasion but to keep it beauty related I'm going to review the Nars eyeshadow in 'Cyprus.' Now you'll probably wondering where the connection is and it's that I bought this shadow because we got married in Cyprus (I'm now hoping you're not all heaving from that!)
This was (and still is) the only Nars eyeshadow I own, I have their Orgasm Blush, Laguna Bronzer and quite a few of their lip glosses but that's it. The colour is pretty, to me it's somewhere between 'Verve' and 'Suspect' from the Naked 2 Palette by Urban Decay.
I have worn this eyeshadow quite a bit and I enjoy that it's more of a cool toned champagne gold shade as I really don't think I suit the more warmer gold tones. The only thing I have a problem with is that it doesn't seem to be as pigmented as the Urban Decay eyeshadows that I'm used to. As this is my only one from Nars I have nothing to compare to and wonder whether it's just because it's a lighter shade.
The bottom line is... apart from the sentiment of it I wouldn't say this eyeshadow blows me away. I have colours similar in my beauty stash but not the same so it does serve a purpose. Once it's run out I wouldn't repurchase it.
