Today I attended the open day of Pinkies Polished in Chorley. This was particularly a special occasion for me because the salon owners, Lydia Upjohn and Stacey Loughlin are actually therapists that both follow me and they actually started talking by commenting on each other's posts! They also now both friends of mine so of course I went along to support them.
I thought I would make today's post all about salon décor because I know that I am extremely interested to see other therapist's set ups, storage and other salon ideas. I have also tried to include where Lydia and Stacey purchased items from just in case you wanted them for your own set up.
The Mayor and Mayoress of Chorley are Councillor Roy Lees and his wife Mrs Margaret Lees actually officially opened the salon so I am going to also going to include some photos of that too as I'm so proud of my friends and their business venture.
The ladies chose a shabby chic vintage style. It is very clean and fresh which I think is extremely welcoming. The bunting shown on the reception desk was custom-made. The wallpaper behind the desk was purchased online.
I do think the the CND Shellac and Vinylux racks look really well together combined with the new Lecente racks, the only thing I would probably need possibly four Lecente racks to hold all of my stock and foils and I don't have the wall space for!
Both mirrors shown in the above photograph were from The Range which are for the hairdressing and the make up artists stations. The drawer unit with the decorated front is from Dunelm Mill.
I really like the idea of the photo frame style shelves. They're perfect to display smaller products such as glitters and CND additives. They are from The Range.
The "potions and lotions" crate was from B&M and I think it would be brilliant to put any facial treatment stock in in particular.
Pinkies Polished are retailing various products so they have these eye catching stands to display with them.
The desk is from Ikea which goes perfectly with the theme. The nail tech chair is actually what I have for myself and my clients only in brown. They're from Vikings Direct and at less than £45 for leather, they're an absolute bargain and really comfy!
The client chairs are from ebay second hand but were re-upholstered. The clock is from B&M, complimenting the wallpaper perfectly.
The acrylic tool storage is from Ebay which I must admit I fancy getting myself as it just means they're there ready at your convenience, depending on the tool required.
Retailing interesting products is what's going to make this salon stand out so having personalized goodies at the reception desk is a fantastic idea.
Above are the bath truffles Pinkies Polished are retailing and below are their personalised lip balms which I believe are brilliant.
I'll finish this post with couple of photographs from the open day. It was a huge success with many appointments being booked in. Please don't forget to follow my Facebook Page to keep up to date with my latest posts, design ideas and nail tutorials,
