Slim Down Sunday: Week 42

This is the week of the confession, I've taken my eye off the ball for longer than I should have.  

Firstly obviously it's Monday so apologies for the delay on my usual Sunday post but if you follow my Facebook page you'll know that yesterday I was representing Lecente at Creative Academy+ Manchester's Show-A-Thon and I was absolutely knackered last night and certainly not in the right frame of mind to put a blog post together.

Let's go back to my confession which is more to admit to myself if I'm honest.  I've been so focussed on weight loss for so long that it became routine for me and I found it easy if I'm honest.  The only thing is more recently I've had a lot on my mind and I'm slipped more and more into old habits which I hate to admit.  Its partially due to being happier with my size, some to do with current emotions and the rest to do with the fact I'm greedy.  

If you've followed me throughout this journey you'll know I lost five stone and 5lbs in seven months and then I've virtually just faffed about for the past two months with the last month getting totally out of control.  I've weighed myself this morning and I have put on nearly a stone - there we go - I've said it.  I told you I was greedy.  I'm a little annoyed with myself for losing my way but I'm not 19 stone 5lbs again so it's okay, if I work hard this will take about a month to lose and that's fine as I did this to myself.  

It's my birthday on Thursday and I'm away overnight so I can't promise that I will start to lose this extra chub this week but I will promise to carry on these blog posts until I am ready to get back on it.

  • Every day we have a choice, it's a fresh start and the most important part from any healthy eating plan is to just try and make as many days, good ones.
  • Losing a pound a week is still over three and a half stone in a year.
  • If you're feeling particularly down about your weight, remember that if you stick to a balanced diet then by this time next week you could have dropped quite a few pounds, just the kick start you need to get going!  Even just by cutting down on treats you could make a difference, how good would that feel?!
