My nails were at that length that they were starting to rip so unless I have a special event on, it's time to hack them down and start again. I do like having them short again for a while, it means that I don't dig into my eyeshadows etc when I'm applying my make up which is a novelty. The only thing is, I just don't think any design looks as good as if it would if they were a little longer. That aside, there was no way I go bare nailed so I got straight into doing them.
Everywhere at the moment is the Lecente Rainbow & Chrome Powders and rightly so, they're gorgeous. I found I couldn't resist going for the rainbow powder again over CND Shellac in Tinted Love. If you'd like to see my post and video on the application - click here.
I actually wore them like this for the day and loved it but then returning back to my nail desk with a spare 15 minutes I then stamped over it with MoYou London Hipster Plate 07.
