Firstly, thanks so much for all of the lovely comments on my previous Slim Down Sunday post. I was overwhelmed with the support both publicly and by private message. As you know, a few days after I posted I went to Las Vegas for a week with my boyfriend Rich. I never wanted to make excuses as for why I then went onto not lose weight, of course I would find it difficult on holiday so I just ate what I fancied and tried to be mindful that the more I ate whilst I was away, the more I would put on. I feel like it's the same with Christmas but I was ready to start losing my weight again so I didn't want to make excuses and then leave it another month because of it.
On the plane I have to say that the tray table struggled to go down completely because of my stomach. How embarrassing that I have once again gotten back to that stage but it's the truth. Luckily the belt fit just about so I was relieved about that. I have been on a plane that the table didn't come down very much at all to the point where as I had to just hold my tray of food whilst eating it. The world isn't made for anyone bigger than a UK size 16 or 18, that's just my opinion. At the moment I'm probably back at 18 - 20, just for reference. I had gotten down to nearly a 14.
Anyway, I weighed myself the morning after I flew back and then weighed myself this morning. I am pleased to say I have lost 3lbs of the 5lbs I gained during holiday. Another week of behaving (as I've only been back four days) and that should be gone and I'll be able to start shedding fresh pounds of chub.
I am back using My Fitness Pal, it's such a fab app and so easy to use. I am trying to drink a lot more water, even if it's flavoured (and sugar free) as it just helps with that bloated feeling. I feel like by starting now I am getting ahead of the game for January. Anyway, I'm back at home down in South Wales for the week now so I am back to being able to prepare my own meals (every fortnight I go back up north and stay at my parents house so it's more difficult to keep control of my food.) Wish me luck for next week!
- Every day we have a choice, it's a fresh start and the most important part from any healthy eating plan is to just try and make as many days, good ones.
- Losing a pound a week is still over three and a half stone in a year.
- If you're feeling particularly down about your weight, remember that if you stick to a balanced diet then by this time next week you could have dropped quite a few pounds, just the kick start you need to get going! Even just by cutting down on treats you could make a difference, how good would that feel?!
