At the end of the last post I hadn't been feeling too good. I think I was suffering from some sort of chest infection over New Year but thankfully that's gone. It did however help my weight loss this week because after a few mouthfuls I struggled to eat any more - every cloud and all of that! Most of the photos of food in this post I didn't finish but I tried to keep everything delicious.
I was so strong at the start of the week and within a few days I started to feel so much better about myself. It's amazing what those few days of cutting back can do to you. Unfortunately I did get on the scales in a sneaky weigh in which I totally know not to do but I did it anyway. I had lost a few pounds even then so that's when I did something stupid and got relaxed about it all. I was then vaguely counting my calories rather than properly doing it.
This week was the week I went back up north for a few days but I was still able to keep to my plan which makes things so much easier. I've been drinking flavoured water - yes I know it's not the same as pure water but give me a break - I'm a fatty after all so this is a breakthrough!!!
It is definitely true that it helps to keep busy. I've had a lovely week as I welcome three new members into my team of Scentsy Consultants. I genuinely love helping them and by doing that it's kept my mind busy but also off food. I'll speak more about that another time.
I must admit I was very nervous about this week's weigh in as I knew I was going off track but I'm pleased to say that I lost 3lbs! That brings me to 16 stone 13lbs and therefore, I am back into the 16s again. It's such a relief, yes I'm still far too heavy but I'm in that stone bracket now that I can work through that. I'll be so happy when I get into the lower end of the 16s again, it will feel so good and then of course I'll be into the 15s again and that's when it gets really exciting.
I'm looking forward to being confident in summer clothes this year, 2016 I was starting to hide again, cover my stomach with a cushion if I sat down, anything to hide my bulging tummy. 2017 will be the year I leave that all behind me.
- Every day we have a choice, it's a fresh start and the most important part from any healthy eating plan is to just try and make as many days, good ones.
- Losing a pound a week is still over three and a half stone in a year.
- If you're feeling particularly down about your weight, remember that if you stick to a balanced diet then by this time next week you could have dropped quite a few pounds, just the kick start you need to get going! Even just by cutting down on treats you could make a difference, how good would that feel?!
